They arrive in Italy for two concerts at Live Club Trezzo d'Adda (February 15) and Orion Rome (16), Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye. The group is in full European tour in the wake of the appreciated album "Be", which was published last year. "We are very pleased with how it went," he says in Tgcom24 guitarist Andy Bell. What remains of the Brit pop of the 90s? "It 'became history, now is the time for reunion."

For Beady Eye has not been easy. Collect the legacy of Oasis, after the traumatic break between Liam and Noel Gallagher, it was natural, but then it was to go ahead with a new name and a new story, reconstructing a following and credibility. Their second job "Well" has been useful in this regard, many thanks to the consents received. "The reactions have been good album and this made us very pleased because we believed in this work - says Bell -. Then came the approval of the public, the tour went great. It's been several months since the publication of "Be". Still not fully satisfied or would you change anything? 
"Be"가 발매된 지 이제 몇 달이 지났다. 여전히 만족하지 못하고 있는지 아니면 마음이 조금 바뀐 부분이 있는지?
I would not change anything. I think it's a good picture of what we went through while we were preparing. 
난 아무것도 바뀌지 않을 것이다. 그동안 준비해오는 과정을 통해 우리가 해왔던 것들을 보여주는 좋은 상황이라고 생각한다.


Nowadays, CD sales have plummeted. What do you think accounts for more then an artist? The fact that there is talk of his album, critical acclaim, or live events? 
근래에 들어, CD의 판매량은 급락하고 있다. 아티스트가 수익을 더 얻는 방법에 대해서는 어떻게 생각하는가? 앨범에 대해 이야기하거나, 호평을 받거나, 아니면 라이브 공연을 하는 등이 있는데?
In fact I think that the flow of revenue for an artist is not very different from what it once was. Unless you are one of those very famous artist then it is likely that gains a little 'less than some time ago. Big changes have taken place especially for those who manage the business side of the music, not for us. We make records like they did before, and our goal is to get on stage to entertain as many people as possible. 
사실 나는 아티스트에게 수익이 가는 흐름이 그 이전과 비교해 많이 달라졌다고는 생각하지 않는다. 아주 유명한 아티스트가 아닌 한 수익은 아마 그 전보다 조금 더 적어진 정도일 것이다. 특히 음악계는 비즈니스적인 부분에서 큰 변화가 이루어진 것이지, 우리가 변한 것은 아니다. 우리는 이전에도 그랬듯 음반을 만들 뿐이며, 우리의 목표는 무대에 올라 많은 사람들을 즐겁게 해주는 것 뿐이다.


The latest evolution in the use of music streaming services are in great growth. What do you think? 
최근 들어 음악 스트리밍 서비스에 대한 진화가 눈부시게 이루어졌다. 이에 대해서 어떻게 생각하는가?
It is now late to focus on the fact whether it is positive or not. The reality is that this is now the present of music. For me, for many it can be a positive band in the most accessible way to reach their music. I like to have everything dispozione so easily. In any case this is the situation, we will see how it will evolve in the future. 
지금은 그게 긍정적인지 아닌지에 대해 이야기하기엔 늦은 감이 있다. 중요한 것은 바로 이것이 지금 음악의 현실이라는 것이다. 내게는, 다른 많은 밴드들이 자신의 음악을 더 널리 알릴 수 있는 길이 생겼기 때문에 긍정적으로 여겨진다. 모든 것을 너무나도 쉽게 폭발적으로 얻을 수 있는 점이 좋다. 어떤 경우든 지금이 바로 그런 상황이기 때문에, 앞으로 미래에 어떻게 진화하게 될 지 두고 볼 것이다.


When you play live you feel the difference in the reactions of the audience from country to country?
라이브 공연을 할 때 국가마다 관객들의 반응이 다르게 느껴지는가?
It is very amusing to see how the public reacts differently. In concert, we receive a lot of energy from those who come to see us and therefore is not indifferent play in place rather than another. It may seem obvious but I have to say that the Italian fans are very hot and very attached to the band, since the days of Oasis. We like to play with you. 
관객들이 매번 다르게 반응하는 것을 보는 건 굉장히 즐겁다. 공연 중에는, 우리를 보러 온 사람들에게서 아주 많은 에너지를 받기 때문에 어디서 어떤 공연을 하든 크게 다른 부분은 없다. 아마도 분명하겠지만, 오아시스 시절부터, 이탈리아의 팬들이 아주 열정적이고 아주 밴드와 밀접해있다는 점을 꼭 말해둬야겠다. 이 곳에서 공연하는 것이 좋다.


In Italy you play in small clubs, while short will participate in a very important festival like Coachella. Change for you to approach the two situations so different? 
이탈리아에서는 작은 공연장에서 공연하지만, 중간 중간 코첼라와 같은 아주 중요한 페스티벌에 참여하기도 한다. 이 두 가지 상황이 다르게 받아들여지는 면이 있는지?
Festivals are a great opportunity because you often play in front of a lot of people but it is also very difficult. In general we are not the headliner, and that means playing in the afternoon with setlists that will last up to one hour, where we have to put in the most famous songs. Particularly because most of the people are there for other artists and maybe not even know us. In our tour we play longer and above all we are free to play what they prefer. 
페스티벌은 아주 많은 사람들 앞에서 공연할 수 있기 때문에 정말 중요한 기회지만 동시에 아주 어렵기도 하다. 보통 우리는 헤드라이너는 아닌데, 그 말은 우리가 가장 유명한 곡들을 들고서는, 한 시간 안에 끝나는 셋리스트를 들고 오후에 공연해야 한다는 의미이다. 특히 대부분의 사람들은 다른 아티스트 때문에 그 자리에 있을 수도 있고 우리를 아예 모를 수도 있다. 대신 우리 투어에서는 좀 더 오래 공연할 수 있고 우리가 원하는 대로 자유롭게 할 수 있기도 하다.


In the 90's Brit pop lived his golden moment. What remains of that movement today? 
90년대의 브릿팝 시대는 황금기라고도 할 수 있다. 오늘날 브릿팝이 남긴 것은 무엇일까?
Many of the musicians then still make music and really good. I think of Primal Scream and the Stone Roses. Then there are other groups that are coming together. I think that in fact 90 years are still very much present in people's minds. 
대부분의 그 당시 뮤지션들이 여전히 음악을 만들고 있고 정말로 좋다는 점이다. 내 생각엔 프라이멀 스크림과 스톤 로지즈가 그렇다. 그들과 함께하는 다른 많은 그룹들도 그렇고. 나는 사실 90년대가 아직도 사람들의 마음 속에 현재처럼 자리하고 있다고 생각한다.


The success of those groups and grunge has meant that the pop in that decade had a rock connotation. What do you think of the pop scene today? 
그 그룹들의 성공과 그런지의 등장을 보면 그 당시 팝과 록 사이에는 연결 관계가 있었다고도 볼 수 있겠다. 오늘날의 팝 신에 대해서는 어떻게 생각하는가?
Fortunately there are still some important rock islands. The album of last year the Arctic Monkeys and Queen Of The Stone Age are really beautiful. But it is undeniable that the scene has become very mainstream pop. It 'a natural process, there are times when the electronic and synthetic sounds become the standard for the songs that dominate the charts. I do not know, maybe for a while 'time the guitars went out of fashion, but definitely will return. 
다행스럽게도 아직 몇 몇 중요한 밴드들이 남아있다. 작년에 발매한 악틱 몽키즈나 퀸즈 오브 더 스톤 에이지의 앨범은 정말로 아름다웠다. 그렇지만 지금의 록 신이 굉장히 메인스트림 팝 음악 같아졌다는 것은 부정할 수 없다. 그건 자연스러운 과정이고, 예전엔 일렉트로닉과 신스 사운드가 음악의 척도가 되고 차트를 지배하던 시절도 있었다. 난 잘 모르겠다, 아마도 한동안 기타는 유행하지 않을 지도 모르지만, 분명히 돌아올 것이다.
